Director/Tennis Professional - posted January 2024
We are looking for a charismatic Tennis Director to run and teach at our new facilities at Ross Recreation, Fairfax, and San Rafael. We want someone who thinks like an entrepreneur and loves teaching and developing tennis programs. We are a international group of pros, based in the SF Bay Area and Amsterdam, The Netherlands who are passionate about collaborating together to create top-notch local community programming with a global reach.
Pro must enjoy & have expertise in working with groups of children 6-11, and adults from the Beginner to 4.0 level. All candidates will be Livescan screened and must pass a Federal & State Background Check and must be authorized to work in the USA. We do not sponsor work visas. School Year Schedule: 15-25 hours a week group lessons plus privates. Summer Schedule: 4 hours a day M-F in summer camp, plus private lessons.
Primary Location: Ross Recreation
Satellite Locations: The Ranch (Tiburon Recreation), Fairfax , and San Rafael.
Start Date: Early to mid March
Compensation:
Group Lessons- $50-80/hr - 15-25 hours a week
Private Lessons - $70-90/hr- 5-15 hours a week
Full-time Employee Position
After 1 year of employment- raise to be determined based on success of program
Pay commensurate with experience. 401 (K).

Working for Higgins Tennis has been one of my all time favorite jobs and I’m really going to miss the program and the kids. It’s a great opportunity for independence and to develop leadership skills with the safety net of the provided lesson plan to fall back on. This is a great job for a student — I loved that I was able to create a consistent schedule each semester that fit in with my classes. The pay is great and allowed me to work fewer hours and still make good money.
